Our Mission

Love Thy Neighbor exists to help people in our community who are facing their most difficult challenges. We focus on the home so families can focus on healing. Through free cleaning services, a self-serve food pantry, and a thrift store that funds our mission, we shoulder the burden of daily life for cancer patients, disabled veterans, families with terminally ill or handicapped children, and neighbors in need throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Meet Joanne Braccio

Founder & Heart of Love Thy Neighbor

Joanne Braccio is a woman on a mission to help people. With over 35 years of experience in the cleaning industry, she owns and operates Maid to Order, a cleaning service she built from scratch in St. Petersburg.

After experiencing the personal loss of her veteran brother and witnessing firsthand how cancer and other deadly diseases affect people and families on the most basic level, Joanne decided to give back to her community in a meaningful way.

In 2005, in honor of her brother, Joanne founded Love Thy Neighbor to provide free professional cleaning services to those battling serious illness. What started as a simple act of compassion has grown into a comprehensive community support organization.

Joanne is a mother, a business owner, and someone deeply in love with her community. Her vision has expanded from free cleanings to include a food pantry serving 2,000 families monthly and a thrift store where 100% of profits support community programs.

"I don't just want to help during treatment. I want to help people truly live with dignity while they focus on what matters most: family and healing."
